STANDING COMMITTEES
Each member
is strongly encouraged to join a standing committee to ensure the TAAA
mission is fulfilled. Please indicate your area of interest when
completing the membership application.
Activities Committee:
Create and produce repeating and new events, programs and fundraising
activities, which include Juneteenth Festival, Annual Scholarship Golf
Tournament, officer installation ceremonies and networking mixers.
By-laws Committee: Revise, amend and prepare by-laws for distribution to members and coordinate annual elections; Parliamentarian
Education Committee: Create
programs and events for Black History Month, Dr. King birthday, essay
contests, Black History Bowl, Scholarship Fund, Student Leadership and
Mentoring Programs.
Membership Committee: Design
and implement programs to increase TAAA membership, maintain listing of
current members, update membership roster and collect membership dues.
Public Information Committee: Disseminate information about TAAA and its events, programs and activities, and spokespersons for general and media inquiries.
